For Michelle Niarhos’s campaign poster, I used the Empty Phrases technique and portrayed her as an angel child. The phrase, “Everybody’s Best Friend,” is an empty phrase because while she is a very friendly person, it is impossible for her to be everybody’s bff. But this strategy makes people see her as a kind creature and want to vote for her. It makes people feel like she will take them under her wings and raise them up. The blue background signifies justice, as well as her blue eyes. I made her into an angel to represent her angelic intentions as a candidate for ACAD senator.
